MEET THE TEAM
Hey, I’m Leah 👋
Founder/ Owner Alchemy PT
If you are looking for a quick 6-week transformation and live in a massive calorie deficit I am not the right coach for you.
I want to help people understand that living a “healthy” life isn't all about eating chicken, rice and veg. I want to help individuals learn how to include daily habits that lead to overall health. As well as helping people become stronger, more confident versions of themselves.
I’ve done it too.
Fast forward towards the end of 2021, the year I committed to training and being the best version of me. My sister and I set a challenge to not drink alcohol for a year. It wasn’t easy but having someone else doing it with me helped. I must say a Heineken 0% was a lifesaver when you fancied that cold beer on a summer's day.
Why do I do it? I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2014. I was determined this would not hold me back. After the diagnosis, I travelled and lived abroad and managed the disease with occasional flare-ups. They would be noticeably more often after periods of eating badly and drinking more than I should.
However, since returning to the UK in 2019 I decided to get on top of my health. Taking 2020 out of the equation as we were all locked away!
Over the years I have struggled with my weight, mainly due to my lifestyle. Some may even know me as ‘Champagne Collis’, the girl who loved to have a drink and a good meal at every opportunity. However, growing up I had always played sports and been active.
Back in December 2016, I was working and living in Bermuda. I was most definitely “a little bit fit, a little bit fat”. I was doing CrossFit religiously but my lifestyle did not support any health and fitness gains I was making in the gym. The saying ‘you are unable to out-train a bad diet’ was 100% the case for me
I now do resistance training 3 times a week and recently entered the world of Triathlon. I manage my diet better and I avoid having alcohol just because. Now my RA flare-ups are rare, my mood and emotions are way more stable
Some say it’s downhill after you turn 30. For me, they are proving to be the best years yet. Having been through this transformation and living this different lifestyle, I have firsthand experienced the benefits of training and eating for health. This is why I am now a personal trainer and a CrossFit coach. I want to help as many people as possible achieve their health and fitness goals inside and outside the gym.
Meet Ryan,
Personal Trainer - Alchemy PT
Since then, I’ve gained my Level 4 Strength & Conditioning qualification and am currently studying for a BSc (Hons) in Sport, Fitness and Coaching to continue developing my knowledge and coaching practice.
Outside of coaching, I love travelling and exploring new places with my girlfriend, with an oat flat white in hand. I also enjoy running, starting to compete in more races to test my limits and bring purpose to my own training.
My coaching philosophy is simple: build bodies that are strong, resilient, and built to last.
I’ve been coaching for the past eight years, working with a wide range of clients—from complete beginners to recreational exercisers and competitive athletes. Helping people achieve their goals, whatever their starting point, is what motivates me every day.
My coaching journey began after six years in professional football, from ages 16 to 22. Although my playing career came to an end, it led me to discover a real passion for coaching and helping others unlock their potential.
I believe training should enhance everyday life, improve performance, and be something people genuinely enjoy, not something they dread.
I aim to help clients build sustainable habits and long-term confidence in their own abilities.
Catch you in the studio soon!
